Just weeks after Rihanna’s head line grabbing visit to Belfast, she’s released her new video on u tube for ‘We Found Love’ featuring DJ Calvin Harris which was filmed in and around the City.

While her time in the North may not have enamoured a certain local farmer – one Belfast company is chuffed at catching the Bajan superstar’s attention.

NIAVAC – the city’s leading audio visual experts – was hired by Jumper Productions to operate and supply a high spec, high brightness projector, for the video for her new single for ‘We Found Love’ – which is set to be the first release from the new album due out in November.

MD James Conlon says: “We got a hire enquiry from the production firm with a request to be flexible as they didn’t confirm the film schedule or the pop star until the night before. Given the problems they had in New Lodge filming with large crowds out in force to see the superstar, the producers recreated the bedroom of the New Lodge house in T13 in Titanic Quarter and our event technical manager Mark Hamilton was part of the closed set in the room for filming.
NIAVAC have a flexible approach to client needs and I’m delighted NIAVAC were able to provide the high quality AV support they needed for filming in a tight schedule.”

Mark explains: “It was fairly business like to be honest – like most of the TV work we do. She turned up, a quick hi and then we got on with the work. There was only six allowed on the set including the director and we filmed from about 9.30 until 2am that morning when the producer wrapped it up and she was delighted to get the scenes finished”, Mark adds. 

Without doubt, the firm will benefit from the ‘exposure’!
